"Barack Obama's Stealth Socialism"

Investor's Business Daily had a very useful editorial about Obama's socialist views:

During his NAACP speech earlier this month, Sen. Obama repeated the term at least four times. "I've been working my entire adult life to help build an America where economic justice is being served," he said at the group's 99th annual convention in Cincinnati.

And as president, "we'll ensure that economic justice is served," he asserted. "That's what this election is about." Obama never spelled out the meaning of the term, but he didn't have to. His audience knew what he meant, judging from its thumping approval.

It's the rest of the public that remains in the dark, which is why we're launching this special educational series.
"Economic justice" simply means punishing the successful and redistributing their wealth by government fiat. It's a euphemism for socialism.

In the past, such rhetoric was just that — rhetoric. But Obama's positioning himself with alarming stealth to put that rhetoric into action on a scale not seen since the birth of the welfare state. . . .

This article would have held more weight if the author had included his or her name. Including footnotes or some kind of documentation would have given this editorial more teeth as well when making these types of allegations.

Speaking of "economic justice", "redistributing of wealth" and "socialism":

What kind of country do you want exactly?

Do you want a small number of insanely wealthy money hoarders that have so much power THEY control EVERYTHING?

So much power THEY make the decisions for us?

The idea behind your beliefs about money & economy is fairness... BUT it doesn't take into account the hugely corruptive power of money --- or the bad things that happen when TOO MUCH is in the hands of TOO FEW.

This is ultimately about building a country that's nice to live in... Not small walled off neighborhoods where you have to have armed guards to keep the masses of uneducated, starving poor out.

I seriously don't think you understand that consequences of massive wealth in the hands of few... It makes democracy IMPOSSIBLE, because they become more powerful than the government, which is We The People.

No, it is you who do not understand that the real issue is whether people are afforded the opportunity to rise from poverty to middle class through hard work and determination as opposed to having government provide their comfort.

For the most part, the only people who are truly destitute in this country are those who have been devastated by well intentioned socialist welfare programs. Just look at the inner city.

Yeah, scary if you just accept others words without fact checking them. Particularly an article that doesn't provide sources or even an authors name.

You get what you deserve.
