The US sure spends a lot on education per student.

But it is pretty hard to see much of a return from that money. Education test data for 2006 is available here and the raw data for 2009 is available here. Data for 2000 and 20003 are available here.

I wonder how many and who will be able to take a rational conclusion from the graphed regression of PISA as a function of educational expenditures w/o Mexico and Turkey.

Does seeing the significance of a flat-line correlation qualify as "doing arithmetic"?
