Democrat Mischief in NH and some other states

Without a Democratic primary, many states allow Democrats or Independents to vote in Republican primaries. McCain benefitted a lot from this in 2000 in NH. Note that McCain didn't win NH in the general election in 2008. But this year with no Democrat presidential primaries could be really bad and it appears that Romney will be the beneficiary.
